Hildur and Sverre Kjevik emigrated from Norway and unexpectedly fell in love with Black Rock Resort. In 1963 they purchased the family-run business because the serenity and beauty of the property reminded them of their Norweigian riverside farm. Their daughter, Karen, now carries on their dream by sharing Black Rock with visitors from all over the world.

We offer docking and a fish cleaning shed for the avid fisherman looking for a new spot to reel in their catch of the day. Explore our cliff-side property by going on a hike, or hitting the water with a kayak. We have the equipment you will need to enjoy a game of volleyball, texas horseshoes, soccer, or basketball.
