SINP Express Entry subcategory

The Express Entry subcategory of the SINP is aligned to the federal Express Entry system. The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three economic class immigration programs, which are Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class.

To receive an invitation under this subcategory, a candidate must have created an Expression of Interest profile under the SINP. If the candidate receives a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, they will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points added to their total CRS score. This would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.

SINP Occupations In-Demand subcategory

The candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile may apply for a provincial nomination under Occupations In Demand subcategory. However, the applicant must be a highly skilled worker with work experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Saskatchewan, who do not have a job offer from the province.

Further, the candidates must have created an Expression of Interest profile on the online application system of the SINP.

SINP Expression of Interest

The Expression of Interest system of the SINP allows Saskatchewan to select candidates who have the potential to economically establish themselves in the province and nominate them for permanent residence in Canada. The candidates who submit an Expression of Interest to the SINP will be assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors like work experience, education, language ability, age and previous connections to the province and awarded a score out of 100. Those with the highest scores will be invited to apply for a provincial nomination.
