The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) conducts the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET). It is held for the purpose of recruiting teachers for both private and public schools in Odisha. For the appointment of the teachers, there will be two papers. Paper I is for teachers in grades 1 through 5, whereas paper II is for teachers in grades 6 through 8. The syllabus for the Odisha TET is different for Paper I and Paper II, although two or three courses are same. The subjects cover a wide range of topics across the entire curriculum. Language- 1 & 2 and Child Development & Pedagogy are two subjects that are same in both papers. In addition, Math and Environmental Studies have been added to Paper I, and Social Science, Science, and Mathematics have been added to Paper II.
