Batterytools like nailers and an air drill can be battery-powered, but there are also cordless tools out there. The difference between a corded tool and a cordless tool is that a corded tool is one that has a cord that runs to it, while a cordless tool is essentially just a long piece of wire, that when plugged into a wall outlet, allows you to use the tool without having to worry about a dangling cord.
