Reasons for the extinction of dinosaurs

More than 65 million years ago, our planet was inhabited by a fascinating assortment of giant terrestrial creatures, the dinosaurs. These majestic creatures ruled the Earth for more than 160 million years, a period known as the Mesozoic Era. The sudden disappearance of this amazing species has intrigued scientists for centuries, sparking many theories about the cause of its extinction. However, it is now widely accepted that a catastrophic event, a combination of an asteroid impact and widespread volcanic activity, dealt the final blow to the Age of Dinosaurs.
