Pietersite is an interesting, murky, chalcedony mineral that is known for its striking tones and "cat's eye" impact. It’s mined in China and Namibia and is used as a decorative stone. Sometimes, it is often confused with tiger’s eye or hawk’s eye, but it’s not a brecciated form of either. Instead, its chatoyancy comes from crocodolite, a shared mineral.
